Vincent Moon: renowned creator of music videos that feel more like out-takes from a fabulous other universe where your favorite (indie-ish) band sings and plays in your subway car or in the apartment across the hall...or on the ferry to Vashon Island (Seattle, ho!)
The online repository of "take away shows" is La Blogotheque. The site is in French but most pages can be translated to English. Below are a couple of my favorites. Disclaimer: I've only sifted through about 18% of the videos. There are many to browse.

Oh I think I need one of these. Or is it just my mid-afternoon kind-of-bored & hungry personality talking?

The New York Times is posting one new story/slide show per week about a new York City "character". The project is called One in 8 Million and seeks to collect "passions and problems, relationships and routines, vocations and obsessions". It is, admittedly, a bit addicting with titles like the "Urban Taxidermist" and the "Singing Waitress". The photographs are very beautiful and the stories, if somewhat idealized, are too.
The new earth-friendly bamboo i-phone...i-wood. With such useful apps! Including but not limited to Meeting Ignore, Tiny Map, Know-it-All, Garage Door Opener and Friend-B-Gone. I can't live without mine!
Thanks to C for posting about the i-wood where I-would see it.

Here's Your Hat What's Your Hurry?
...a book by Elizabeth McCracken I've been meaning to get at the library. She also wrote The Giant's House, which is a fantastic book, especially if you are intrigued by librarians.

Apartment Therapy is running the Fifth Annual Smallest, Coolest Home Contest. I think this entry from an apartment on New York's lower east side deserves some sort of special prize for best use of green paint in a kitchen with a bath tub.

Perusing the Totokaelo blog (you need to sign up to view I think). Totokaelo and Impulse are both Seattle shops owned by Jill Wenger. The only thing these outfits need is warmer weather.
Another internet must-have: rubber stamps. Via The Small Object. Our guy above has a title: Little Helmet Pal.
