I've been geeking out over bears lately. If you too like bears you should definitely watch Episode 1 of the new PBS National Parks series by Ken Burns. He has footage of five or six bears catching salmon in a river! I love it!

There's a great story/slideshow on Slate's money blog about redesigning American paper currency. I think it's about time. It might be good for national morale.

I love the designs in the series that feature artists and musicians like the one above by Christina DiMeo.

By the way, Sweden has Astrid Lindgren, Pippi Longstockings author, on their money!

I'm going to Brooklyn for Thanksgiving with Brad! We're staying with his sister. I can't wait to meet her.

Brooklyn Life by Claudia Pearson (check out her etsy shop; she has her own coloring book that may or may not feature robots, sneakers and dogs.)

My friend Tess has a film playing in Seattle at the North West Film Forum Local Sightings festival this coming Tuesday the 6th. Local Sightings showcases the best film making that happens right here in our corner of the country.

"A Moment's Reverie" is an animated short and has been already been seen around the world but not in our fair city...until now!

You can see her beautiful gems at Film and Scissors.
