Some images from our Labor Day trip to Hood River, Oregon. It was refreshing to be back there with the the whole family and significant others. Maybe this trip will reignite the annual Hood River road trip we did so often as kids when our parents were windsurfing nuts.
I remember driving back from Hood River the night before the first day of 8th grade thinking "Who has parents that whisk them away right before school starts? I don't even know what I'm going to wear yet!"

Check them out straight away if you, like me, reserve a special place in your heart of hearts for vintage stamps.
My uncle Doug Turman is a painter in Montana and incorporates stamps into his work. It's sublime. Please have a look.

My dear darling amazing pal Karin has a food blog for people like us! I just started reading it and I'm already excited to make the amazing 5-minute bread. Both of these pictures were taken by Karin and come from her blog: Kar in the Kitchen

Life + Limb in Portland, OR is shut down. I meant to visit this seemingly rad shop/ gallery/purveyor of plants when I was there a few weeks ago and just completely forgot. They still have a terrific cactus/succulent care cheat sheet on their website. I recommend downloading it, if you are at all like me and tend to...well...over care for your plants.

End of summer soundtrack...can't stop listening to the new Fruit Bats album The Ruminant Band and Camera Obscura's My Maudlin Career (top). Totally dreamy.
Cut my own hair yesterday. Not going to make a habit of it. But someone named Heidi at Rudy's fixed everything!
