Makers & Do-ers

Oh I'm feeling lustfully inspired to make! Have you heard of photographer Jennifer Causey's The Makers Project? Jennifer is a Brooklyn photographer with creative friends who make things with their hands. The Makers site documents her studio/shop/kitchen visits and a small right-sized interview follows each studio slide show. Included: Mast Brothers Chocolate, Shabd, Lena Corwin, The Fort Makers, and on and on. It's a fun peak, take a look. All "doing" pictures by Jennifer Causey.

 If you need more inspiration (I could always use more, pile it on!) don't neglect Lotta Jansdotter's new Open Studios book. Her artist and craft-maker studio tours include Brooklyn but cover Stockholm and Tokyo too. She also has her own new website; it's cleaned up and blog is added. Lotta is one of my style icons. Whatever she puts out in the world is pretty darn wonderful.
